Resource Central — Event Request Process Improvement

The problem to address

Staff needed a more structured way to submit complete and consistent event information through the existing Resource Central process.

Contribution

My responsibilities

• Developed and refined the multi-step event-request wizard using HTML and JavaScript.
• Implemented step navigation, field validation and dynamically generated form elements.
• Added calculations for guest totals and equipment requirements, with generated requirement summaries.
• Mapped form inputs to Resource Central properties and tested submission and data persistence.
• Refined the interface through testing and stakeholder feedback.

Outcome

• The redesigned form replaced the previous event-request form and was deployed to production.
• Submission testing verified required fields transferred and persisted through Resource Central.
